We’ve continued our efforts to unify and streamline our API experience. This month brings several improvements to API behavior, feature accessibility, and developer guidance. The majority of TransmitSMS API features are now supported in TransmitMessage, however we've had to alter the following:

API Access Controls

If you're integrating with Senders, please use the TransmitSMS Numbers API endpoints. This ensures stability and proper functionality during ongoing backend enhancements.

Sandbox Flag Deprecation

The is_sandbox flag has been deprecated for both SMS and MMS sending in the TransmitMessage API. In it's place, all sandbox testing should now be done via a configured Transmit Sandbox account.

Users will now see the following error message if they include is_sandbox: true in create webhook requests:

"Validation Error: is_sandbox: deprecated; use a sandbox account instead, or contact support to request one"

Fixes

• The Quick SMS UI will again default to the most recently used Sender ID, saving time and clicks for frequent senders.
