The Transmit SMS API uses Basic Auth and requires a Username (API Key) and Password (API Secret) to authenticate.

The API Secret is blank by default, and your API will only be able to authenticate once its created. To create your secret password follow these steps:

1. Once logged in, navigate to the Account Settings menu located in your user profile drop down.
2. Scroll down the screen until you see API Settings.
3. Add your secret password to the API Secret field.
4. Click the Update Profile button at the bottom of the page.
